Hi to all,

Here is some information on an upcoming event.
I am still waiting for confirmation on the permit from the Forest Company, but am fairly sure this will be the date.
If the permit can not be gained, I will let you all know this week and will reset the date for later in the year.

The dust has just settled on the very successful Suzuki Desert Storm ride that attracted 900 riders Saturday and 750 riders Sunday. Epic Events is rolling out another awesome trail ride to continue the good times.

Scheduled to take place 12-13 June at Iwitahi, \"Suzuki Trail Sprint\" will be a great ride including 2 days and at least 2 x 40 km trails.

Iwitahi is the location, 20 minutes East of Taupo on the Taupo - Napier highway.

The first trail sprint held 20 July 2003 attracted 306 riders who had a ball hooning around the ashy bermed up trails, enjoying the free sausage sizzle and the sunshine.
Suzuki Trail Sprint takes place right in the heart of great ashland trail ride country. No slippery clay grass tracks here, just berms, whoops and hard out straights.
The ride caters for all skills including young people and novices with a totally separate Mini track and Novice track right next to the base.

The base includes accommodation in cabins so no need for tents this time. Meals will be available also to pre order. So consider making a weekend of it and staying Friday and Saturday nights. Fires and video evening planned.
Suzuki Trail Sprint entry form will be out by Wednesday 26 May. Make a date in your diary now.

Other Epic Trail Ride events planned;
Trail Blazer - Tahorakuri forest, Taupo to Rotorua Highway - mid August
Epic Ride 4 - Secret venue Central North Island - mid October

Update:
The Suzuki Trail Sprint is all go, confirmed for 12-13 June 2004.
I\'ve just come back from searching for new trails on my DRZ 400 and it\'s looking great. Iwitahi is a really fun place to ride dirt bikes, mainly because of the soil which is pumice. Pumice means all weather predictable traction and big banked berms which all adds up to power slides, flowing turns and fun!!!

Last year 306 riders took part in the one day event with total enjoyment all round. Attached is a basic flyer. The full poster and entry form will be out Friday 28 May. See you at Suzuki Trail Sprint.
