The highly anticipated TRX450R race ATV has finally arrived on our shores. This ground up rebuilt TRX450R sports ATV is Honda’s flagship for racing and sports riding alike.
It‘s been 15 years since Honda built a race/sports ATV that could be considered a serious threat to its competitors on the race track. The commitment to building this high performance quad has been demonstrated by the level of development and input from Honda’s factory ATV rider, Tim Farr.
In true Honda style all the components have been developed individually and then brought together, tested and refined to give the TRX450R the feel of a market leading race/sports quad.
The TRX450R will be campaigned extensively in New Zealand by multi New Zealand Championship winning ATV ace, Ian Ffitch. The race debut for the TRX450R will be at “The Race to the Sky” held in Wanaka over Easter weekend where Ffitch will race in stock trim.
“The all-new TRX450R will bring the Honda brand back to the forefront of ATV racing in New Zealand. Bred from the championship winning CRF450R this new racing ATV will definitely give its owners the winning edge,” says Clive Cooper-Smith, General Manager of Blue Wing Honda Ltd.
The first shipment of the TRX450R will be on the Honda dealers’ floors by mid April. Demand for the early shipment has been exceptionally high and with the ATV retail price at $13,495 we anticipate a fantastic response.
