New Zealander Makes A.M.A History

N.Z\'s womens motocross champion, eighteen year old Tania Satchwell of Taupo, raced into the history books at the A.M.A Houston Supercross on March the 13th.
Tania and the U.S.A\'s Nikki Harris were the first women to race for pro teams in supercross, previously a male only domain.
Tania was selected by the Mexican Kawasaki/AGP Race Team to race in the Pro 125 supercross.
Although not able to qualify Tania described the experience as one she will never forget with an unbelievable atmosphere.
She rode in front of a crowd of 50,000 people with a television audience of 1.5 million viewers.
Tania received tremendous exposure and was involved in up to six interviews daily the week of the event from newspapers, television, radio, industry, and internet reporters and spent hours signing autographs.
She is now based in Houston and training for the Ladies International Cup to be raced on the 17th of April. I am sure that all New Zealand moto-cross riders join with me in wishing her all the best.
