Do you know much about the Le Touquet, apart from the mayhem you would have seen at some of the bottlenecks portrayed in the occasional TV clips?

Well, the 2004 Enduro du Touquet Pas-de-Calais, France, celebrated it\'s 29th anniversary this past weekend. Created in 1975 by Thierry Sabine, with the enthusiastic support of the town\'s Mayor more than 300,000!!! spectators lined the route to watch nearly 200 quads and 953 bikes compete in this years event.

The course was 15.4 km for bikes and 6 km for quads. The races were run over 3 hours and then the first rider to cross the line, however many laps have been run, is declared the winner.

In front of the 300,000 spectators, Jean-Claude Moussé (Honda CRF450) won the 2004 event completing 12 laps, his second Enduro du Touquet win. (So that\'s around 180 km in 3hrs @ around 60 kph). Timotei Potisek finished second and Thierry Bethys third, completing a Honda clean sweep. The Aussie enduro ace, Shane Watts was entered for this years event.
Moussé finished 2.34 minutes ahead of Potisek, with Bethys more than nine minutes behind.
