Whibs To Fast Eddy:

Posted: Wed 28 Jan 2004

Thanks to Blue Wing Honda\'s efforts we will have another Kiwi competing on the world stage in 2004.

Paul Whibley is signed up with the -\'Honda Racing Fast Eddy Race Team\' based in England and run by Enduro champion Paul Edmondson who has also competed with distinction in the States. Whibs who is age 25 is off to England this week to take up his new position with the high profile team and he will be riding a Honda CR250R. He is set to compete in both the British and World Enduro Championship series along with the boss, Paul Edmondson.
There will be little time to visit Buckingham Palace as the first round of the BEC is 6th & 7th March, closely followed by the first round of the WEC (Spain) on the 13th & 14th March.

To have a guy like Paul Edmondson as mentor will provide tremendous support to the young Kiwi who will be so far from his home in Marton once again. Last year he rode for the factory Husqvarna team in the World Enduro Championship (WEC) finishing in 8th place - although he probably did not get the support that he needed from the factory race team.
Paul you will remember blitzed his opponents in the 2003 GNCC Championship.
