Stefan Merriman, the three-time world enduro champion, revealed in Brazil that he is yet to sign a contract to race in next year’s world championship. Don’t worry, his presence will be a fait accompli – it’s just who with.
Merriman won the 2003 250cc two-stroke title on a Honda CRE250, but now there are a few more suitors lining up to gain his prized signature. The enduro version of Valentino Rossi – with a lot less zeros on the end of his pay cheque…“It’s a good position to be in, and I will be making a decision on my future as soon as I return to Italy from the six-day,” declared Merriman.
