Jim says: Bruce Anstey has been nominated for the Road Racer of the Year award, along with Shaun Harris.
Bruce will be riding a 600cc Triumph at Macau this weekend for the ValMoto team who have entered two riders. The Kiwi star Bruce and an Australian rider Sam MacLachlan, both are first-timers at Macau.
Bruce Anstey featured at the `03 IoM TT races when he gave Triumph it`s first win at the Island for nearly 30 years when he rode his Daytona 600 cc to victory in the Junior TT race.
It was Triumph\'s first time back at the TT for 28 years and they had three bikes entered in the race under the ValMoto racing team banner ridden by Anstey, Jim Moodie and John McGuinness. Anstey led from the first timing point till the end of the fourth lap race. He crossed the line in a time of 1:15:13.98 at an average speed of 120.36 mph (192.58 km/h), which was a new race record.
