Watts withdraws from ISDE in Brazil
Team KTM offroad racer Shane Watts unfortunately had to withdraw his entry a few days before the start of the ISDE event held in Brazil from November 3 to 8.
The reason for his withdrawl was the incomplete healing of the shoulder seperation injury that he sustained 3 weeks prior to the event.
\"My shoulder was getting better all the time but it just wasn\'t ready for the arduous and very difficult, deep sandy conditions that were present in Brazil. I had a test session just before the event and this proved to me that my shoulder just wasn\'t strong enough for thee conditions. If the terrain was hard packed then I would have been able to manage but the deep sand was just too much.\"
\"It was better for me to fly back to Florida immediately and consult another specialist to confirm my shoulder is healing correctly and to perform more rehab work with it so as I have the best chance of being 100% for the final WORCS race in Oklahoma on Nov 16.\"
