Masterton rider Luke Burkhart impressively won all
5 of his 12-14 125cc class races on his YZ125.
The only other rider to equal this was Tim Curr of
Blenheim in the 11-12 85cc class on his Yamaha YZ80.
Manawatu\'s best hope, James Robinson, was looking good
before being hit during the final lap of the 4th
moto. Although he finished both the 4th and 5th rounds this
effectively killed his chances of winning the 15-16 years
125cc title despite good finishes in the previous races.
The racing was held in superb conditions with record junior
and mini entries. The track was groomed again this evening
in preperation for tomorrows International Grand Prix.
