Shane Watts, the Aussie battler has fought hard to overcome injuries and get back to his competive form. Silver Bullet will be regularly updated with his latest news.

Team KTM\'s Shane Watts competed in round 7 of the National Hare Scramble Championship held at Crab Orchard, Illinois over the weekend.

The race began in slightly slimey conditions and saw Watts get a great jump off the line and lead the field into the first corner, only to run a little wide, which let Fred Andrews through into the lead. By the completion of the first lap Watts had fallen back to fifth, but then worked his way back into fourth and then held this position to the finish.

\"I just never felt comfortable out on the course today,\" Watts commented following the race. \"The first lap was pretty sketchy with the slick conditions and all of the hidden rocks in the thick undergrowth so I wasn\'t prepared to push the limit. As the race wore on the course and conditions drastically improved, as did my lap times, but by then the lead trio was long gone. I ended up just having a lonely, uninteresting ride for the rest of the race.\"

Watts will next compete in round 11 of the Grand National Cross Country Championship at Sparta, Kentucky this weekend.
