I know this is a News Page but hey, I am calling in some favours.
The problem is that my son is entered to ride his YZ250F at Connondale 5/6 July and he has had new rings fitted, valve clearances set and that`s all.
SINCE then it runs like a brick s/house. It won`t idle, runs on when the throttle is rolled back - as when entering a corner, down on power, etc ?
Can any of you technically clever ones out there please TELL ME: what possibly could have caused that?
The problem was:
The ignition timing was 1 tooth out at the bottom mark.
Red-faced mechanic and workshop who shall be nameless but who persevered with the utmost goodwill in the face of an insolvable? problem. Oh well, that`s human foibles for you I guess.
