Defending Champion Wins First Round of the 2003 World Long Track Championship:

Germany’s Robert Barth, 2002 World Long Track Champion, took out the first round of the 2003 Championship in Bielefeld, Germany last weekend 15/06/03.
Barth leads Kelvin Tatum (Great Britain) the 2000 Champion, by five points, with Gerd Riss (Germany), the 2001 Champion third a further two points behind.

The Championship moves to Muhldorf, Germany for round two on June 29th, the top three will not be allowing any one rider to dominate.

The inaugural New Zealand Long Track Grand Prix, is the sixth and final round at Pukekura Raceway in New Plymouth on November 1.
