MotoGP Speeds:

I don`t make a rule of posting mainstream MotoGp stuff (reports, results, etc) as there are a proliferation of sites that cover that subject very well. However I read this interesting bit of info on PerthBikes.Com:

Some impressive top speeds were achieved @ yesterday\'s Italian MotoGP qualifying session: Loris Capirossi, Ducati, 328.9; Troy Bayliss, Ducati, 325.7; Valentino Rossi, Honda, 321.9; Max Biaggi, Honda, 321.8; Alex Barros, Yamaha, 321.5 km/h.

So as we have already seen on the track, the Italians have well and truly put it to the Japanese in just Ducati`s very early introduction to the scene.
There are no doubt a few Nipponese engineers, especially in the Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki camps who have done the honourable thing and fallen on their swords. Particularly the latter two who continue to ask their riders to race on un-competitive machines.
