And we are here!

Yesterday John and I drove from Austria to Italy in our new \"ride.\" We left in the morning cause we planned on going to the Alpinestars factory near Venice, but we lagged and missed out. We figured we\'d see them in Mugello anyway, so it shouldn\'t be a problem. I hope they didn\'t get mad! :(

The drive through the Alps was nice. On the Austrian side, there are speed traps everywhere, but in Italy, it\'s full throttle! Well we can cruise on the motorway easily at about 100mph. I know it sounds like we\'re hauling ass, but really we\'re not. We then went to the Bologna airport to meet up with the team. I was starving, so we ate at the food court there where I had myself a Royal Deluxe from BurgerKing. We\'re in Italy and that\'s what I get to eat? But I was starving and it was fast. It lasted for hours so I was satisfied.

And now it\'s time for a weather update...............hot and sunny!!! Cali weather! We\'re blessed to see alot of white skin hanging about, not necessarily a pretty sight. It calls for high 80\'s and 90\'s this weekend, definitely not what we got in France. John and I are pretty use to it being from southern California, but there has been alot of places around Europe this week that have been getting their fair bit of heat.

Last night we stayed at the hotel with the team and ate at a nice Italian in the small town near by. The hotel staff who own it are very good people, but the beds need a bit of an update. Our bed was as hard as cardboard, no joke I swear! It was horrible. It gets really hot in the room as well but you can\'t keep the window open cause in the night the mosquito\'s come in. John kept waking up, saying, \"It\'s f*&^ing hot in here, this bed is killing my back!\" And as much as I agreed, I just said to myself, it\'s only one night.

But this morning we got up and headed to the track to sort out the motorhome. That would be nice to sleep in tonight.

Well not much to say except that we are here in Italy. Alot of yanks are supposebly coming to this race, like I said, the Italian lads go crazy. Talk to you all later.
