Round 2 of the Suzuki 2003 Central Enduro Series was conducted by the Kapi Mana Club at the Akatarawa venue Sunday, 6 April.
The course consisted of three 50 km loops and there were no A class/B class splits, so everyone was riding the same track.... The trail time for the last loop was very tight - everyone who rode it lost time. However, the ladies and novices finished after two loops - losing about 7 -10 minutes a loop.
Driving to the venue in the morning the rain was bucketing down but the day turned out to be a cracker - absolutely beautiful weather. Pity only 31 enduro riders turned up. Glen Manning KTM 250EXC was first, John Mckee Honda CRF450 second and Tim Steeneken KTM 380SX third>
31 riders started and 7 DNFd but the two lady competitors were not amongst those seven. [Tracy Green, KTM 400EXC ? 1st and Hazel Rushworth, Kawasaki KDX200 2nd.]
