FIRST MOTORCYCLE AWARDS DINNER:
Motorcycle Trader & News in association with Motorcycling New Zealand and the NZ Motorcycle Distributors Association will host the inaugural motorcycle awards dinner in Auckland on November 29th 2003.
New Zealand has produced more world champions in motorcycle sport than any other discipline, a fact that has been overlooked for far too long. A Hall of Fame Award will help redress this. Other awards will honour some of the personalities and motorcycles that have made their mark in New Zealand, as well there will be recognition for top riders from the current road and off-road racing season. There will also be awards for motorcycle of the year in several categories.
Sports that have enjoyed very limited international success recognise the achievements of their sports men and women, now at last we will have the opportunity to celebrate our champions on two-wheels, many of whom are better known in other countries than they are here. It will be a black tie affair at the Sheraton Auckland Hotel with special guests.
