Communications/Operations Manager
Motorcycling New Zealand is the National Sports organisation that controls all forms of motorcycle sport in New Zealand. The infrastructure consists of over 70 clubs and 250 stewards who combine to make 900 motorcycle events happen each year.
Following an internal restructure we have created a new position – Communications/Operations Manager. The role reports directly to the CEO and is based at our office in Huntly although there will be considerable internal travel to events.
The main duties of the role are:
Communications Management – especially newsletters and website.
Risk Management – initially based on rider safety at events.
Club development – working within clubs to enhance their skill base.
Officials development – train and track the development of this important resource.
Event Management – working with clubs to produce a consistent result.
Applications will need to have a relevant qualification and have at least 5 years operational management experience. The key personal asset is the ability to work in the volunteer sports network.
