Chris Birch on the KTM 250EXC [1197] took the overall honours at Riverhead on the weekend from Sean Clarke with a remarkable ride (again) on the Suzuki DRZ400 thumper [1232] and Stephen Bird on the smaller thumper, Yamaha`s YZF250 [1233]. Just one point seperating those two, you can`t get closer than that!
I would imagine the organisers will be concerned at the 32 DNFs that could to a large degree be attributed to the unkind weather, but as they always say, it is character building.
