The Mystery of Hurley:

Posted: Fri 28 Mar 2003

Silver Bullet has managed to squeeze a piece of news regarding Daryl Hurley`s USofA foray out of Andy McGechan, NZ`s first and foremost MX journalist. But Andy say`s that this is only a droplet of info as he is saving the best for Kiwi Rider as they help pay for the groceries and we don`t. (Come to that you bludgers don`t help us buy our groceries either, do you. So it serves you right that you have to go out and buy next months KR.)

Anyhow it turns out that the up to now, mysterious reason you have not seen Hurl`s results in the last few AMA results, is that he hasn`t been riding. It turned out that his SuperCross crash at Anaheim II (round three of the AMA series) was more serious than first thought.
A doctor examined him and told him he had dislocated his shoulder ... and the injury was actually two years old!
It hadn\'t mended properly all this time .... and he so easily won the NZ 125cc title!!!

He had an operation about 6 weeks ago and is now resting and recovering and can\'t wait to tackle the 125cc MX series, which kicks off at Glen Helen, San Bernadino, on May 11.

Reckon that the outdoor series is where the Kiwi just may well put it to the Yanks. Well some of them.
