Well, if you rode in your first ever World Championship Enduro and you finished, I guess you would be fairly happy. Well how about not only finishing, but finishing on Silver!
Well that`s what Paul Whibley did on his 250 2T Husqvarna CR250 on the weekend in Portugal. You will note that his time was certainly there, or there abouts with those who finished ahead of him. And if you read the Preview: it is apparent that Whibs did not pick an easy event for his foray into the WEC nor did he get a favoured start position.
Paul was 14th, day one and 12th on day 2 and on Gold time. His overall for the 2 days left him less than 2 minutes away from Gold.
Ex pat Kiwi, Stefan Merriman, [riding for Honda this year] who sets a very high standard for himself, was 2nd in his class. 2nd first day and 1st on the second day. A result he will be pleased to improve on in the next round, no doubt.
