The MNZ Enduro commisioner, Sean Clarke, has announced that the New Zealand Enduro team to compete at the KTM A4DE are:
Chris Birch - KTM200
Sean Clarke - Suzuki DRZ400
Kevin Archer - Suzuki DRZ400
Tim Woodward - KTM300
Steven Bird - Yamaha WR250
Scott Columb - Suzuki RM125
The KTM A4DE: takes place in South Australia on the 18th-21st of April [Easter].
The Kiwi team will be competing for the Oceania trophy which was donated by the Cambridge MCC at the 2001 event staged at Oparau.
Australia has won the Trophy at both the events that it it has been contested, Oparau, NZ and Hervey, West Australia. A different result is expected in 2003.
The venue for the KTM A4DE 2003 event is Mt Burr Forest, Millicent. A 30000 hectare pine forest which has a soil content of mainly loamy sand with some clay and very few areas of rock. The terrain is undulating without any large hills. The forest areas have had no previous events run in them so they are not expected to be whooped out.
