Hi \'tards
Bike Mart Supermoto 03
Yes, we\'re back into it. In what is planned as an annual event, all the motocross guns are getting themselves prepared to take on the road racers. Last year the motocrossers took home the goods. This year?

With the new classes; Lightweight (including 125 2 strokes and 250 4 strokes) and Sportsman (250 2 strokes and 426 4 strokes) allowing only standard wheels everyone can give it a go. There are trophies up for grabs so what are you waiting for?

Entries are in Bike Mart and Kiwi Rider and give we a few days (okay after the weekend) and we\'ll have the class details (finally) up on the all new SuperMotard.co.nz: website. The event is again at Taupo. Nice and central for you. Get those entries in 05 April.

Paeroa Road Race:
It wasn\'t the best of years for the event but you\'ve got to give the crew a bit of slack. They are trying to tame the (real) danger area\'s down and reducing the straight was a good place to start. The event was run with a new layout, which sadly wasn\'t up to the punishment from the bikes and the elements, but as ever provided plenty for spectators.

Motards unfortunately didn\'t have their own class but cleaned up (Mr Briggs) the Bears race and Energy Honda\'s Craig Flood managed a podium in F3. We\'ll be pushing, asking, seeing to it that next year there\'s a Motard class for sure. Yes, and did we mention motards were appearing in the top 10 in the open class?

Do yourself a favour and check things out at Taupo in April. Ask anyone who saw Wanganui, Paeroa or one of the Suzuki Supermoto\'s last year.

Taumarunui:
The Taumaruni club puts on an annual Bucket meeting at their local kart track each year and is highly praised for it\'s welcoming atmosphere. This year the bike nutters down there have got into the supermotard side of things and are running a motard race in conjunction with the buckets. Youthstream (the world championship promoters) track design man Greg Atkins tells me that the best place to up your skills on a motard is a kart track, so here\'s your chance. 15 March.

Fordell Hotel/Okoia Hill Climb;
Call Brian Bernard for details to enter the classic 1.1km sealed hill climb down Wanganui way. The event has been going for a few years now and is running on the 2 of March this year. A lot of fun, just call Brian on 06 345 4765.
