MXoN 2003 Version:

Posted: Fri 14 Feb 2003

We all know what a fiasco the 2002 Motocross of Nations turned out to be when the event that offerd so much turned into a giant sized fizzer, despite the late date and venue switch.

However we are told that the 2003 event will feature the world\'s best off-road racers and that is to happen (definitely) at the Zolder circuit in Belgium.

The former Formula 1 race circuit will have a motocross course built within its grounds in preparation for the October 5th meeting.

The terrain will be 90% sand and 10% clay and will have all the permanent facilities offered by the circuit\'s infrastructure such as hospitality, offices and spectator viewing positions.
The teams will have access to 40 pitlane boxes with ample paddock space (42,000 m2) for the team trucks and campers. The 70 acre Zolder site is based around 80km from Brussels.
