MotoGP & SBK Facts & Thoughts:

The 2003 MotoGP season could be most interesting. Specially with all the new boys on the block.

Ducati turned in some very competitive times at their Sepang tests. Troy Bayliss, who despite never having seen the circuit before, ended the test with a time of 2m 04.0s, improving his first day\'s time by 2.5 seconds!
Loris Capirossi was also on the pace, setting a 2m 03.9s (the 2002 GP pole time was 2\'04.4\").

For comparison, the Honda boys who were the boys to beat last year, have recorded the following times at the same circuit during their tests.
Valentino Rossi, ITA Repsol Honda 2m 02.65s
Max Biaggi, ITA Pramac Honda Team 2m 02.8s
Tohru Ukawa, JPN Honda Pons 2m 03.4s
Daijiro Kato, JPN Telefonica MoviStar Honda 2m 03.7s
Sete Gibernau, SPA Telefonica MoviStar Honda 2m 04.3s
Nicky Hayden, USA Repsol Honda 2m 05.47s 60 laps
Makoto Tamada, JPN Pramac Honda Team 2m 06.5s 30 laps
Shinichi Itoh, JPN HRC Honda 2m 06.5s 31 laps

Dunno about the 2003 Superbike Series. Time will only tell.
The new boys there, the Foggy team features the unlikely combination of Troy Corser and the evil eyed Foggy??
That`s a bit like inviting George W and Saddam to the same BBQ, cos that wouldn`t work either.
