Good News Today:

The good news for motorcyclists today was the decision of the Government not to implement the proposal to increase the current (already exorbitant) ACC levy included in motorcycle registration fees to $351.66.

The Government is to increase the petrol levies used to fund ACC with the duty on petrol to increase from 2.3 cents to 5.08 cents a litre from July next year.

Ms Dyson said. \"The more you drive, the more likely you are to be injured. Petrol usage is the most accurate indicator of the amount of time a motorists spends on the road and is therefore the fairest indication of exposure to risk,\"

All those who got off their butts and `did something` are to be congratulated. You made the difference and there can be no doubt that the infamous proposal would have gone ahead if it were not for your efforts.
