Through crashing at high speed, the leading sidecar team of Buckley and Abrahams, are out as the LCR R1 returned to the pits in pieces. Several experienced people remarked it was the worst crash they had seen. The outfit did a 180 degree turn just prior to turn one and ricoheted of the tyre wall back onto the track, disintegrating on the way. Colin Buckley sustained concussion and Darren Abrahams dislocated a hip joint that popped back in but out of position.

A welcome return to racing for another of the Sherriffs clan saw Kris out on Grant Russell`s Honda RS 250 and was in the second slot in the three legs holding off Ricky Porter. But the man who completed a clean sweep is another come back,Troy O\'Donoghue on the ex Jimmy Steadman Honda RS 250. The new name of Tatsuo Hosokawa holds third in total points.

The Suzuki SV 650 proved too much for the 400s with Bruce Hansen and Terry Fitzgerald spreadeagling the field for easy places. Steve Bridge and current No.1 Andy Bolwell were dicing, taking turns for third spot all day.

UPDATE: Bryan who is Jimmy\'s little helper advises that: The number 47 Honda RS250 ridden so effectively by Troy O\'Donohue is not ex Jimmy Steadman, rather it is still owned (and prepared) by Jimmy, as is the second RS250 number 41 ridden by Jimmy himself in the two rounds of the championship to date.
