The New Zealand Moto Cross Grand Prix at Woodville get \"Wings\"

New Zealand\'s largest and most significant \"one off\" Championship Title event, held annually at the 42 year old Moto Cross circuit near Woodville will be on the weekend of January 24th-26th, 2003.
For the first time it will be sponsored by Blue Wing Honda.

This major event attracts over 700 riders and up to 5,000 spectators annually, so it\'s economic impact on Tararua & Manawatu districts is enormous, obviously something the Blue Wing Honda dealer network have taken into account when doing their sums.

Woodville caters for riders from 4 years old to old, yellow toothed dyed-in-the-wool off road racers, with classes to match.

The Mini Moto Cross class takes in the ages of 4 - 10 years - their big day is Saturday, and they utilise an easier circuit from the Junior & Senior classes - up to 100 of these youngsters competing for Grand Prix titles.

Most of the Junior classes (8 - 16 years) are also run on Saturday - up to 200 of these young hopefuls. The top 60 junior riders going through to compete on the Sunday for the Champion of Champions Grand Prix Title .

Then on Sunday is the BIG one - the Blue Wing Honda New Zealand Moto Cross International Grand Prix, where 40 strong fields line up for 3 races to contest their respective Motorcycling New Zealand Titles >> 125cc, 250cc & Open class.

Add to this the menu includes the Grand Prix International race and the famous River Race - see this one to believe it - and all the ingredients are there for a great weekend.

Of the \"names\" coming to the Blue Wing Honda NZ Moto Cross Grand Prix - the list is the \"creme de la creme\" of New Zealand, but will include Castrol Honda Red Riders Shayne King and Cody Cooper.

\"Ride Red\" it\'s the Honda way to go racing.
