Yep, I`m off again. I am going to Mecca.
That is the Mecca to antipodean motorcyclists, Phillip Island.
The occasion, the MotoGP, where probably for the last time, the sight and above all the sounds of two and four strokes competing albeit unequally, in this quintessential class can be witnessed and heard.
I am extremely fortunate that the prestigous website, Silver Bullet is held in such high esteem by Dorna that they will be hosting me.
Accommodated in the Cowes Hilton, plus a computer allocated to Silver Bullet in the trackside communications facility to enable up to the minute regular reports to this, your favourite website.
Enjoying the luxury of the hospitality suite and being wined and dined by Dorna.
What heaven, what bliss!
Nah, just kidding. A tent in the campground and a [cold] tinnie on the bank will be the reality. And no computer, or reports.
Keep an eye out though for the new face on the block, Guy Inglis, who was stirred into action on reading Do You Come Here Often: Guy submitted the article: MotoGp Stuff: [When are YOU going to put your name in the hat?] Am trying to get Guy to do a profile on himself and may have some success in that area soon, so watch this space. I gather however that he was attached at one time to Red Bull Yamaha, [Soon to be with out Red Bull] so he is good man to have on board.
