New Zealand Trials Team Retain The Oceania Trophy:

Last weekend Oct 5/6, a Team of New Zealand Trials riders attended the Australian Observed Trials Championships at Mengler’s Hill in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. During the event, at which they did extremely well, they also competed for the Oceania Trophy, which is contested between Australia and New Zealand annually.

Normally the local terrain favors the home team but this year things where different, the visiting New Zealanders took out the win, with points being awarded as per the rider’s finishing position.

Riders finishing order:

New Zealand.
Warren Laugesen (Napier) 1st.
Andrew Poad (Tauranga) 7th.
Jason Baker (Blenheim) 11th.

Australia:
Colin Zarozynski 4th
Neil Price 8th.
Trevor Campbell 9th
