How the Aussies saw Day 1:

The Aussie's faced tight trail times and cold conditions on day 1 with most losing some time and incurring penalties.
The riders also faced an added obstacle with the local police gleefully stopping riders in transport sections and issuing fines for speeding, some times detaining riders for ten minutes or more!
Several Team riders and even support crews have been issued infringement notices, much to their frustration!
Official Day 1 results have yet to be issued and because of all the lost trail time and many riders failing the cold start test first thing most have no idea of how they are going! stay tuned!
