77th International Six Days Enduro

HUSQVARNA IS THE OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF THE 77th INTERNATIONAL SIX DAYS ENDURO:

The 77th International Six Days Enduro was officially opened yesterday with the opening ceremony held in the stadium of Jablonec, which is situated 100 km north of Praga in the Czech republic.

550 riders coming from 31 different nations will participate in this "Olympic Games" of the enduro bikes. Husqvarna is the official sponsor of the event.
Husqvarna, will celebrate this 100 years anniversary in 2003, is present in Jablonec with a great number of bikes and could count on 70 riders affiliate to the competition with the new enduro 2003 models.

Husqvarna enrolled two Teams for the Industry Trophy:
Husqvarna Á composes of Stefan Merriman on the WR 125, the new world champion Samuli Aro with the WR 250 and the six times world champion Anders Eriksson with his TE 570.

Husqvarna B with the world champion Petteri Silvan on the WR 125, young Polish Bartos Oblucky with his TE 250 and the English rider Paul Edmondson, for the first time, on the TE 400.

Husqvarna is also well represented in the National Italian Team with Roberto Bazzurri, 2002 Italian champion, on the WR 125 and the young riders Dal Pozzo (Husqvarna WR 250) and Canova (Husqvarna TE 250), diamond’s stung of the Italian Junior Team.

Tomorrow at 7,30 Petteri Silvan will officially open the race that is pre announced as long, with few difficulties along the transfers but with very technical and selective special tests.

The objective of Husqvarna, in this 77th International Six Days Enduro, is to win as much classes as possible and continue the positive record of victories gained in these last two years; in fact in the racing season 2001 and 2002 the Italian manufacturer has been awarded 13 of its 63 world titles.
