The Marlborough Motor Cycle Club is hosting the South Island Motocross Championships this weekend 28-29th, including the prestigious Peter Brown Memorial Race.
All titles will be decided over a 7 race series.

The event will be run on the Omaka valley circuit of the Giles Family property only 10 minutes from central Blenheim.

The track has been groomed to perfection and with the recent rain is in excellent condition. Enties have been received from several past and current NZ Champions, the most notable being Masterton`s Luke Burkhart making a welcome return to MX after a long break due to injury. The former NZ 125 champ will contest the 125 class on a YZ125.

Nelson`s Brad Thomas, also a former NZ 125 Champ will be out to retain the Peter Brown memorial trophy on a 250. In the junior Classes NZ 85cc Champion Tim Curr will attempt to retain his SI title. NZ Veterans Champion, Moston Wadsworth will also be racing in the 500 class and attempt to put his name on the Peter Brown memorial trophy.
