The Central Hawkes Bay Club hosted the 2 Day Suzuki NZ Enduro Championship and the 1 Day Suzuki Central Enduro Round 7 at Gwavas forest over the last weekend. The weather was great and the course ideal with realistic achievable trail times set for the large fields. The Central Round was won by Paul Whibley (KTM) 838 with second place a very close affair with Sean Clarke (back from a serious foot injury) 857 (on the event sponsor`s DRZ400) with just a 1 point (second) margin over Chris Birch (KX250).
Chris Birch (KX 250) took the NZ event by a slim 12 points (seconds) over Paul Whibley (KTM 400).
