A press release issued by the 2002 MotoCross of Nations promoter, Malcolm McCassy:
"We are aware of the negative press and circumstances surrounding the MX des Nations and most recently the letters which appeared on an industry website today. These letters have no legal basis and we seriously question the motive of publishing these letters.
We are doing everything legally within our powers to assure that the event takes place as scheduled. While there are issues regarding the long-term operation of Competition Park, these issues should not affect the running of the Motocross of Nations."
