‘Adventure Time out in Taupo’
The Suzuki Trail Blazer 2 day trail ride in Taupo is going to be a blast for all riders with the main tracks ready to go.
The trails are fast and flowing and combine a mix of old logging tracks and specially cut single track weaving amongst the pines. There is the odd drop and climb, but nothing too hard. Because the forest has not been used before, the trails are fresh and smooth. Organisers have spent the past 6 weeks creating flowing and fun trails that most riders enjoy.
Entries are flowing in steadily with most riders opting for two days. Riders have until Friday 6 September to pre enter, save entry fees, pre order tasty meals, and go into the draw to win one of three entry refunds and a Cirrus Off road helmet of their choice. Riders can also choose to enter on the day although that cost a little more.
As well as fantastic forestry riding the event features heaps of extras including free camping, kids coaching by Cam Negus, a central marquee, having a go on Suzuki’s DRZ range and LTZ quad, free mechanical back up, parts for sale, superb medical back up, bike recovery service, sounds at night plus a on site cinema to watch videos of the event and other off road vids. So there is far more than just the riding.
The event is located in the Tahorakuri forest on State Highway 5, just 32 km North East or Taupo and 51 km from Rotorua.
No worries if the weather is a bit damp also, because the event soil type is pumice which is grippy in all conditions.
