Round 10, Haywards Hill, 31 August:
Round 11, Otaki Forks, 1 September:

With extemely damp conditions under foot, getting into the car park was a section in its self, with several vehicles being towed in. The area had seen a lot of rain prior to the event and the day stayed fine to have conditions improve. With almost fifty competitors entered it promised to have some interesting tussles in all classes.

Section 10 was not cleaned all day whilst the rest of the sections were shown to be rideable. The sections were within sight of the main road and 40 odd cars were counted parked along the road.

At Riders Briefing, John Ravenscroft, presented Shane Clarke, Luke March and Jason Baker with their New Zealand Polo shirts and air line tickets for the Trials des Nations in October at Portugal, John Ravencroft goes as manager and Jono Wade goes as "minder".

The landowner was quite concerned about the number of dogs taken onto his farm and asked for all to be removed or the meeting would be cancelled. As this is lambing time his feelings were appreciated and showed a complete lack of nous by the dog owners?

The only woes were when Warren Laugesen flipped and decimated the rear mudguard, while John Ravenscroft had a DNF through what was suspected to be dirty fuel. And the irrepressible John Lawton was seen in earnest work on a back brake glitch.

A Grade saw the competition hot between Andrew Poad, Tauranga, Warren Laugesen, [Scorpa],Napier and Jason Baker, [Sherco], Marlborough. With Warren taking the title from Andrew and Jason.

B Grade had another three way battle with Karl Clark, Shane Clarke and Luke March all having wins and consistent places and finishing in that order. Kevin Pinfold got fourth.

Intermediates had Rhys Bayliss, Christchurch leading Warwick Merriman by one point with Murray Cottle five back in third. Grant McEwen pipped John Lawton by one point. Peter Van Dingenen trailed these two by only two points.

Presidents Class had Jon Turney heading Kevin Tither and Fred McKelvey with Bob Wade in fourth slot.

Clubmans saw Josh Casserley grab an early lead from Tim Newton and Andrew Kershaw who in turn had a handy points advantage from Andy Anderson.

Junior class rider, Jono Wade took an early lead from Alistair Neville and Matthew Kershaw then extended it to a considerable margin on the last day. Matthew Foster completed the feild with a fourth.
