ANOTHER LETTER FROM TIM CURR`S TEAM:
Well after a 900km non stop driving effort the boys and the Burmeister moto sport team have arrived at the track in Austria. Currently the temp is 32 deg and coming from a NZ winter, this is taking a bit to get used to.
There are many factory teams at the event including HRC Honda USA, Vangani KTM South Africa and Kawasaki Italy to name a few. All these factory teams have semi trailers to transport their teams in!
Tim`s bike looks awesome with quite a few envious glances Tim`s way but that`s not surprising as the bike is 1% off being a factory bike with all credit due to team Burmeister for their fabulous set up and preparation. Noel and Tim are very impressed by the level of professionalism of the Burmeister motor sport team.
The track is said to be very similar to a NZ track but very stony so should suit the NZers over there. The soil is said to have the consistency of sand paper.
Tim`s sponsor, Dirk Burmeister (team manager) is said to be a real hard case and is a combination of Robert Taylor`s mechanical skill, Graham Allen`s riding and partying skill and possesses Neil Ritchie`s memory for rider results. Simone, Dirk`s partner is an excellent cook and the boys are being very well looked after.
Tomorrow is practise and qualifying and we wish all the NZ boys the best of luck.
Cheers
Sally
