M J Church Kawasaki Press Release:

M J Church Kawasaki riders Tallon Vohland and Kiwi, Darryl Atkins have a busy weekend ahead of them, but it is bad news for Espen Blikstad, who will miss the Ken Hall International on Monday, after picking up an injury in Germany.

The 26 year old crashed out of the LCQ at last weekends World Championship round in Germany breaking his collarbone. Initial x-rays at the circuit showed no broken bones, but further checks with a specialist in Sweden showed a fracture to the collarbone and damage to some ligaments.

This Sunday team mates, Tallon Vohland and Darryl Atkins will compete at Round five of the British Championship at a new circuit in Pontrilas, Hereford.

Both of the Kawasaki riders are looking to improve their positions in the championship standings.

American Tallon Vohland is hoping to close in on third place throughout the three races on Sunday.
The 29 year old has been struggling with his race fitness after making his comeback to motocross four weeks ago.

"It will be difficult for me to win the championship now, as I missed one complete round, giving Billy (Mackenzie) and Stephen (Sword) a big points advantage, however anything is possible so I am going to aim to get as many points as possible, although third is a more realistic target for an overall championship position. I am still suffering with my race fitness but I am getting better every week" Vohland is realistic about the future

In the 250 class Darryl Atkins continues to improve and will aim to finish inside the top ten overall.

"I have been struggling with my starts and it is always so difficult coming through the pack. I am feeling good at the moment though and hope to get a good result. This weekend no one has the advantage of knowing the track and I think this will help both me and Tallon, before all the British guys knew all the tracks and I think this does help them a bit. I am looking forward to this weekend and am hoping for a good result".

Both Tallon and Darryl will head to the Ken Hall International, in Petersfield, where they will be joined by other GP stars from mainland Europe.

Vohland is especially looking forward to the event, "There are a few GP regulars coming over so it should make for some great racing. It will also be a good practice race for me and help me work on my fitness."
