I asked permission to reprint this correspondence as it displays the sort of guy that Niki is and it is a fitting testimony to him

Hi Bill,
Yes of course you can use our contents in the Silver Bullet if you wish.
Niki is a great guy and if my 9 year old turns out like him I would be very proud. With role models like Niki it gives our kids focus.
Guy really loved his time with Niki at the training camp and I can tell you we used all of Niki expertises getting him to show Guy all possible in such a small space of time.
Thank you very much and I will be keeping a close eye on Niki's progress.
It hardly seems fair but unfortunately MX can be a dangerous sport.
Regards
Nicky Maxwell

Nicky Maxwell`s original letter read:

Hi,
I would just like to send Niki a speedy recovery. Niki spent a lot of time with our son last year at the Taupo Mini training camp.
Guy was lucky enough to have Niki as his trainer all weekend and he taught Guy how to do DROP clutch starts. We had a great weekend and the news of what has happened has really shocked us. Niki has visited our Gisborne club on a couple of occasions.
Please send our love and best wishes to Niki`s family.
Regards
Nicky, John and Guy Maxwell.
Gisborne

p.s. Guy is still doing exceptionally well at MotoX winning all races in our home town and also in Whakatane and two weekends ago got 2nd out of 29 at the Hawkes Bay Invitation Mini MotoX, which was held before the big senior round of the NZ Champs.

Correspondence of the nature of the above is one of the rewards of my involvement with Silver Bullet.
It is also an indication of the great atmosphere that exists within the NZ MX scene.
