MJ Church Kawasaki Press Release:

ROUND 10 GAILDORF, GERMANY :

LOOKING FOR POINTS:

M J Church Kawasaki riders Tallon Vohland, Espen Blikstad and Darryl Atkins head to Germany this weekend for round ten of the World Motocross Championship, near Stuttgart.

American Vohland is especially keen for a good result, after missing out on qualification at the previous round in Belgium.

The 29 year made his comeback to the championship two weeks ago, after being sidelined for two months with a back injury, but the Lone Wolf didn’t have the result he expected, after bike problems in his heat race, Vohland didn’t make it through the tough last chance and was left watching on Sunday.

He heads to the Gaildorf circuit, hungry for points and more determined than ever.

"It was so disappointing in Belgium, but I quickly put that behind me and have been out training hard. I am determined to get points in Germany and move myself higher in the championship standings."

Blikstad also suffered disappointment in Belgium, after injuring his wrist in Practice and finishing up 21 in the main race.

The Swedish rider had looked hopeful of a good result throughout the weekend, after a fantastic ride in his heat race.

The 26 year old took a few days rest after the GP to allow the injury to heal, but is fit and ready for this weekend.

"I was so close to taking points and I wasn’t even trying that hard, because my wrist was so painful, but I really like the circuit in Gaildorf and hope I can move one step further and take a couple of points there, that would be nice".

In the 250 class Darryl Atkins has continued to improve at each round and the Kiwi is getting closer to the top 20 with every race.

"It would be nice to get a couple of points, I never seem to get a good start and find it hard to come through the pack, I also had some bad luck with crashes, which have made it even harder."

The event starts on Sunday with the 250cc race at 11.05 local time.
