A fine day greeted the 260 or so riders for the 25th running of the Tarawera 100 on Saturday after being postponed due to the storm that wreaked havoc to the forest.

100 miles (160km) of tough terrain, but the eventual winner, Darryl King on his Boost Mobile Yamaha won by the smallest margin (a couple of bike length's) from a hard charging Paul Whibley on his Husquarna CR250, 3rd place was last years winner. Cam Negus on his Suzuki RM250.

All three where never more than a few metre's appart most of the race, with the lead changing between them, until Cam fell on the last lap and came in 2 min's behind.
