SUSPENDED - 25/6/2002. From team. The Honda team have suspended Josh Coppins until the FIM have acted on the recent drug test not in accordance with the rules. How long Coppins will miss, if any Grand Prix's is still unknown.
COPPINS NEWS - 27/6/2002. We here at MXGP.com are still feeling a little stung by the recent news of Josh Coppins suspension and failed drug test. Having known Josh for some time and knowing what a honest and determined guy he is the allegations being thrown around (behind the scene) is enough to make you sick. Josh Coppins is not guilty of any crime and hopefully the good people at the FIM will take into account his great record, not only as a racer, but also as a person. Let's be honest, anyone who knows Josh knows he is too honest and works to hard to do anything to undermine this great sport of ours. More on this soon.
