ATKINS MOVES INTO TOP TWENTY
M J Church Kawasaki’s Darryl Atkins had three strong finishes at this weekends British Championship, and has now moved into the top twenty in the points standings.
The Kiwi rider has had a season plagued with injuries, but has fought on and his efforts are now beginning to show.
Atkins started badly in all three motos making hard work for himself but he pushed hard and came through to take three top 15 finishes at Round Three of the championship.
The results have moved the Kawasaki rider into the top 20 and he is now only 48 points away from the top ten.
Atkins said “I was disappointed with my starts today, but much happier with my riding. I am getting stronger and more confident every week and hope my results can continue to get better throughout the season”.
