DREAM RIDE FOR TEEN:

A Te Puke teenager`s dream came true when an Italian moto-cross team manager offered him a position on an Italian race team.

17yr old Mason Phillips flew to Italy on May 13 with barely a weeks notice to represent the Italian Tiscali Honda race team of 4 riders.

Under an initial trail period he said. \"Everyone is doing everything they can to help me\" and he is spending most of his time getting the CR250cc bike and suspension set up to suit him specifically. (Mason has been riding Yamaha in NZ)

The article goes on to say: \"He was recommended thru word-of-mouth, being a two-time National Champion Junior 85cc and twice a competitor at the World Junior Champs in Germany, he is experienced and successful in moto-x and in good stead to be successful in Italy.\"

\"Mason hopes to be racing in all aspects of moto-x and travelling to all the European events.\"

You will have already read in A Great Ride Josh, that Mason not only qualified in the extremely competitive 250 class, but he went on to finish in 24th position. In his first ever foray in WMX Champs!
