With the resignation of its CEO, Motorcycling New Zealand\'s Board, last weekend moved to stabilise its recently reconstructed sport by appointing it \'s commissioners for the next three-year\'s.

Last April Motorcycling New Zealand\'s membership, voted to remove the old eight person executive and replace it with a three-person Board to oversee policy and eleven commissioners to run their different facets of the sport.

To work MNZ through it\'s teething stages, the Commissioners were only appointed for one year. Now that the new system is firmly in place, the Board felt it was the appropriate time to consolidate the excellent work done by CEO David Appleton, and has appointed the following Commissioners.

Junior Motocross, New Plymouth\'s, Guy Merewether.
Senior Motocross, Upper Hutt\'s, Mike McLeod.
Road Racing, Auckland\'s, Trevor Heaphy.
Cross-Country, Hawkes Bay\'s, Lyn Youren.
Enduro, Tokoroa\'s, Sean Clarke.
Speedway, Huntly\'s, Sandra Perry.
Stewards, Bay of Plenty\'s, Andrew Roigar,

The Board has also re-appointed Jim Tuckerman and his Motorsport Network Team to handle media and promotions for the next twelve months.
