Last Sunday (3rd Feb) we (at Silver-bullet) headed out to what looked like a great day. Assured by the radio broadcasting a few days earlier that the annual Waituna West Trail Ride was a happening thing we packed up the bikes and headed out.
On our way we saw bikes ahead of us, behind us, going the other way, & parked on the side of the road. Despite all this we headed down to Waituna West School, to find no signs, arrows or markings, just a farmer herding his sheep.
We stopped and talked to the farmer and by chance he said that the authorities had decided to cancel the trailride 2 weeks previously!!!
We will do our best to verify as many of the listings as we can - we ride them too and we know just how frustrating it is to spend the weekend chasing non-existent events.
Luckily for us there was another ride on in the afternoon - a 2hr X-Country not more than 30 minutes away.
We would love to have the most up-to-date events listing but we can\'t do it without a bit of help. If a change happens can you please notify us or, even better, get the organising club to update the website themselves. They either already have access to do so, or can get it very easily.
