Kiwi, Darryl Atkins is confirmed as M J Church Kawasaki\'s second rider for 2002. He will be changing class to ride in the 125 British and World Championship alongside Tallon Vohland.

Team Boss Mike Church is looking forward to the 2002 season: \"We decided to take Darryl on after he tested the bike at the end of last year, we were quite surprised by how well he rode the 125 after so long on a 250. I think he will be a strong contender in the British Championship and UK Supercross. Both Darryl and Tallon are really pleased with the bike and we are all looking forward to getting racing in February. We started the year off well by winning the UK Supercross series and I hope that we can continue in the same way.\"

Darryl is also delighted to be joining the Church team: \"It is great, it\'s a new challenge for me to ride a 125, and I am really looking forward to it. The team set-up is fantastic and I think with the support that everyone offers I can achieve some good results in 2002.\"

The teams first race will be Feb 17 at Hawkstone Park. Stay posted to mjchurchkawasaki.com to find out news on Tallons pre-season training, the teams test sessions, and were you can see the guys race throughout 2002.
