Queensland recently hosted a round of the Oceania MX event on the weekend with New Zealand taking the honours against Australia. The event took place in humid conditions and showcased the best of New Zealand\'s female MX riders against Australia\'s best in a follow-up event to last year\'s Oceania MX Championship in Wellington, New Zealand.

The event was run in conjunction with the Queensland Women\'s Motocross Championships.

New Zealand completely dominated the event, defeating Australia by over 100 points (235 to 134) overall.

Kiwi Jamie Lee Caldwell, who rode brilliantly in Wellington, again showed them how it was done and even overshadowed fellow New Zealander Tania Satchwell, the current AMA Women\'s World Champion. Jamie\'s times would have given her second place in the male support event.

Caldwell has won all the New Zealand events during Satchwell\'s absence and will be heading off to the USA this year to contest the AMA Women\'s Championship with Tania.
