Castrol Honda Red Riders Ben Harding, Peter Broxholme and Cam Smith dominated the Pro 250 class at Sunday’s second round of the Manawatu MotoCross Championships, finishing first, second and third in all three heats.
Race team manager Dave Borlase said: ‘The return to fitness of Cam Smith after a recent arm operation added a new dimension to the sheer speed that these three showed, allowing them to clear out from the field early and never be challenged as they raced shoulder to shoulder.’
In the open class, Ben Harding (XR650HRC), riding for the injured Richard Adamson, raced wheel to wheel with Cam Smith (CR500) to dominate the class with three wins out of three races.
The 125 class was also ridden by Peter Broxholme, who in the absence of the injured Cody Cooper, carried the Honda flag to a strong second place behind Cameron Laird (YZ250F).
