On Sunday, at round two of the Suzuki Central Enduro Series, Mike Ross (Palmerston North, TM300) decided to battle it out with a pine tree. Score: Pine Tree 1, Rosco 0.
Anyway, just in case there are a few of you out there who haven\'t heard, here is the latest on Rosco following his high speed tree hugging efforts....
He was in theatre at Wanganui Hospital from 9:30am to 5.00 pm on Monday and is plated up. The doctors found another fracture while they were there, with a fracture to the knee, femur (snapped in half) and shattered hip.
Rosco must have drunk lots of milk as a kid as the doctor had never come across bone so hard when he was putting the plates in.
Mel has said that Rosco will be in Wanganui for about another 10 days, off work for about six weeks and \"normal\" again in about 4 months.
